Note: To really get this full use out of this fletching guide you must follow it to the T. Don’t buy shafts to unstrung bows, if you do this you will be off.

Level 1 – 15 make 2,420 headless arrows. Best way to do this is to collect (or if you have the money, buy) 2,420 feathers and fletch 2,420 arrow shafts. If you don’t know how to make arrow shafts all you have to do is go anywhere that has a lot of tress, my favorite spot is East of Varrock inside the gate area. All you have to do is use a knife with the logs in your inventory, then click the option that says “arrow shafts”. then click on your feathers and finally click on the arrow shafts to make your headless arrows.

How keep going because you need to get a final amount of 3,480 headless arrows. Once you’ve finished making the headless arrows now you can start making iron arrow heads, which you can cell for around 20 – 30 gold each. Now, it’s back to the wood cutting again. This time around you’ll need another 3,980 headless arrows, and make sure you don’t buy arrow shafts or headless arrows or you’ll have screwed this whole guide up. This guide has been calculated quite accurately to the exact amount of XP you need to level the fastest way possible. Now, once you have finished making the 3,980 headless arrows, it is time to turn them into steel arrows, and you can sell these for more, around 35 – 45 gold each.

Okay, now you have a few choices, personally I made all my arrows of the components of the arrows I could, but if you can not make the arrow heads or mine the ore for the bars or even if you do not have the time then the best option for you, if you’re a member, is to go to the Ranging Guild and buy the arrow tips alot with the shafts. I go there about 12 times a day to buy them out of iron and steel. Personally I only want the fletching experience and nothing else, and plus it just takes too long to mith all of the arrow heads. So this is the easy alternative, although, you have to have a little bit of gold saved up for this and of course you need to be a member AND a member of the Ranging Guild, which of course requires 40 Range.

Now here’s another option: but 16,880 willows (don’t use maple unless you want to sell them in free worlds) to make unstrung willow long bows. Willow trees in woodcutting is by far the best way to get a lot of XP at low levels because of course they are easy to get. Now for the bog bucks, get yews (do not do any less than 500 at a single time, I often tried 500 because it was a lot easier to buy and sell ‘em if you wanted to see an estamate of how much money you can make off of them. You can make 1,000 – 2,000 yew long bows by just buying yew logs for just 300 gold each and then just buy the strings for 150 gold each. Then you just need to fletch them into yew long bows and sell them for around 600 – 700 gold each. Then all you have to do is rinse and repeat, until you each the level you want.

Okay, now you high level characters with level 70 fletching and you’ve earned respect from myself, but if you really want to be considered a fletching king then you should probably fletch 8330 yew longs so you can make mage short bows, all you have to do is buy magic logs at 1,000 gold each, I would only get 100 – 200 at a time unless you’re really rich. Then just make 8500 yew longs and you now have my full on respect and of course you’re now able to make magic long bows and you can high alch them if you need magic experience or just sell them for around 1.6K each, or just sell them for 5K one at a time for a bigger profit, so always keep shorts and longs on hand.

Also: I’d like to add a little extra before I close – If you’re going for quick exp or levels from level 70 to 99 be sure to stay with yew longs. This is a good idea because there are not enough magic logs in the market to supply everyone in Runescape, one of the main reasons is because there aren’t any magic trees in F2P relms in Runescape. So the best idea is to stick with yews because they’re both faster to cut and buy.

Another thing I’d like to mention is I had made it to elvel 88 fletching with two weeks of working. But you can do it even faster depending on how much time you spend on Runescape. Personally I don’t make magic long bows yet, but I’ll be working hard on getting there and I’ll update my post when I do. :)
